About US

Founded in 2023, Project Altair is the result of merging two IUT Mars rover teams, Anirban and Avijatrik (est. 2015). With renewed passion, we're driven by the same goals and missions as our predecessors. Our team is filled with eager engineering students, each skilled in various technical fields, all united in effort. Together, we're building a Mars rover that represents our dedication and dreams.

ACHIEVEMENTS

IRC 2024

In IRC 2024, Team Project Altair secured 6th place globally and became the champion of the Science ABEX task. With heads held high, we look forward to even greater achievements in future competitions.

IRDC 2023

We are delighted to announce that team Project Altair has stood 10th out of 35 teams in the International Rover Design Challenge 2023. This is the best result achieved so far by any Bangladeshi team in the International Rover Design Challenge Competition(IRDC). We also extend our warmest congratulations to the other Bangladeshi teams.

Team Project Altair secured the 17th place in ERC 2023

In ERC 2023 Onsite Edition, held at Kielce, Poland, Team Project Altair secured the 17th place globally, making us the best team from Bangladesh as well as the second best from Asia. We also secured the 14th position globally in ERC 2023 Remote Edition.

ERC 2015

Team Anirban stayed true to their name (the ﬁre that never stops), earning the 16th place in the world and the 2nd in Asia in that year's ERC, and this was only the beginning.

ERC 2022

In ERC 2022 Onsite Edition, Team Avijatrik secured 18th place after 3 days of competitive challenges in Poland, with their heads held high, IUT Mars Rover would return again the next year.

ERC 2021

In 2021, Team Anirban secured the 10th spot among the 38 competing teams from all over the world, making them the best among other competing teams from Asia.

IRC 2019

In 2019, Team Anirban ended the year on a high note by ﬁnishing as the 2nd runners up in the Indian Rover Challenge. This feat undeniably made Team Anirban one of the best teams to represent Bangladesh on a world stage

ERC 2018

In 2018, Team Avijatrik was a newcomer that came into the limelight. Although they were new, they still secured 14th place in that year's ERC and became the 2nd best in Asia.
